New Start Digital Youth IOP

New Start Foundation / New Start Digital Youth IOP

New Start Digital Youth Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The first and only of its kind in Canada, is an online mental health treatment program for adolescents.  New Start Digital Youth IOP  was developed by a Toronto-based Child and Youth psychologist.

Developed by a Toronto-based Child and Youth psychologist, the program uses researched-informed behavioural approaches – Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

The eight-week online program, followed by up to six months of aftercare, combines individual and group support. The intensive program also includes parent/caregiver workshops which are based on Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).

The program will cost 20% of traditional treatment method and will allow youth in under-serviced and rural communities to receive effective and evidence-based treatment.
